Although rollshutters can be mounted to virtually any window or door with ease, they need to be designed with an attention to detail. A basic rollshutter is mounted by screws through the guide rails which the box housing fits into. This brings the area immediately around the windows comes into focus for mounting. Enough space needs to be left above the window to accommodate the box, and on larger units, electrical access is required for the drives fitted into the box. Each rollshutter is custom made and a wide range of mounting styles can be employed. For example, the upper box housing can be fit flush to soffits, or designed into them. When designed into a new project, the box may even be built into the wall.
